After returning from the international law firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in London, where he also completed an LL.M. in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution, at Queen Mary University of London, Ramón Jara Contreras rejoins the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team of Jara Del Favero Abogados in the context of the relaunch of the practice.
His practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, national and international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He has been involved in cases under different jurisdictions and rules, such as CCI, CIADI, CAM Santiago and ad-hoc. He has extensive experience in different areas of law and in disputes before different courts, whether special, ordinary and higher Courts of Chile. He advises and represents clients in a wide range of sectors including natural resources, infrastructure, construction, energy, financial and commercial sector, shareholder conflicts, automotive, among others.
During 2019-2020, he worked as a foreign attorney in the International Dispute Resolution Group (IDRG) of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in London.
Ramón is a lawyer from the Universidad de los Andes and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.), in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution, from Queen Mary University of London. He is currently undertaking the Diploma of New Trends in Contracts and Damages from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
