The prominent lawyer Alvaro Caviedes Barahona joined the firm as a new partner, with of 5 other partners and 30 professionals from the legal area. Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and magister (LL.M) from the University of Chicago, Caviedes has an outstanding and extensive career and specialization in project financing, debt issues, corporate issues, M&A, and telecommunications.  Likewise, JDF Abogados also incorporated Christian Schiessler Quililongo into its ranks, who will lead the areas related to the capital and financial markets, for both national and foreign clients.  

Christian Schiessler, is recognized for his thorough legal knowledge in the areas of mutual funds, creation of foreign investment vehicles, investments in private equity and portfolio management. A lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, he has a Master’s in Business Law from that same campus and a Master’s in Law (LL.M) from Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois.
