On March 23, 2023, Decree No. 7, dated March 10, 2023, of the Ministry of Health was published in the Official Gazette, extending the validity of Decree No. 38, dated April 6, 2022, of the Ministry of Health, which declares a Health Alert due to the presence of red tide in the regions of Los Lagos and Aysén (hereinafter “Decree No. 7”), until September 30, 2023.

This Health Alert has been in force since September 30, 2022 and is the one that has allowed the health authorities to manage the emergency, granting extraordinary powers to the Ministry of Health agencies to prevent the exposure of the population to contaminated products.
